Does ILACSD supervise the cleanup?
No. The Adopt-A-Beach program is unique because it is very independent. Groups go out to clean at times that fit their schedule. Unless you have scheduled an education presentation, there will not be an ILACSD staff member at your cleanup.

How long is the wait for a sign?
Some beaches have signs available for the upcoming year, others have waiting lists up to ten years long. Please contact the ILACSD office to find out the wait for a particular beach.
